Famed director, Steven Spielberg, has seen Star Wars 7: The Force Awakens already and he likes the film.

French website RTL (via Star Wars Underworld) interviewed Steven Spielberg and he gave his thoughts on what he thinks of the new Star Wars movie.

One of the most interesting things Spielberg admitted is that he has already seen Star Wars 7: The Force Awakens three times. He then said: “I think The Force Awakens could be the biggest movie of all time.

That’s a positive sign, although it’s unlikely he’ll say anything bad about the film before it even comes out. Still, there is potential the film could become the biggest movie ever released.

The movie that it has to beat is James Cameron’s Avatar. That movie came out back in December 2009 and went on to gross over $2.7 billion worldwide. This is thanks to the then-new 3D technology and it was the first film Cameron directed since Titanic.

Star Wars 7: The Force Awakens could be even bigger as (some) fans feel this is the first movie from the franchise since 1983’s Return of the Jedi. Many fans like to pretend the prequels don’t exist…

Do you feel the movie will be the biggest movie of all time or will it still fall short of Avatar’s record?
