There was a lot announced and discussed during today’s (September 13) Nintendo Direct stream. But, of course, Nintendo would be remiss if it didn’t have any Super Smash Bros. Ultimate-related news.
Toward the end of the stream, it was revealed that a Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Switch bundle is on its way. This bundle will include a Nintendo Switch console with a unique dock design that features characters from the original Super Smash Bros., including Samus, Donkey Kong, Mario, Link, Kirby, Yoshi, Fox, and Pikachu. The Joy-Cons also have a unique design, bearing the Smash Bros. logo across them. And, of course, the bundle will come with a digital copy of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
This bundle will become available on November 2, the same day that the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate edition GameCube controller and the GameCube controller adapter for the Switch become available. However, the game obviously won’t become downloadable until its launch on December 7.
In other Super Smash Bros. Ultimate-related news, the popular Animal Crossing character Isabelle was confirmed as a playable fighter in the game during the Nintendo Direct, alongside the announcement of a new Animal Crossing game that will be coming to the Switch sometime in 2019.
