Terarria and Don’t Starve Crossover Content Teased

Recommended Videos

Yesterday, Terraria and Don’t Starve fans got a small tease hinting at a collaboration between the two franchises. The two indie titles have been in the gaming industry for a while now, both games enjoy having reasonably sized communities that keep coming back to them.

Terraria and Don’t Starve are survival indie games that put players in a mysterious and dangerous environment with the task of surviving and to keep exploring the exciting world ahead of them. In terms of graphics and art style, they could not be farther from each other. Terraria is what you would expect from a 2D Minecraft mod. The game has a similar art style and aesthetic that makes it less daunting to players that are not comfortable with the survival genre. Don’t Starve is different, to say the least, the game has an interesting art style and aesthetic. Some players describe it as something Tim Burton could have made, and they are not far from the truth.

Yesterday, Terraria’s Twitter page made a small post teasing the collaboration between the two franchises. The short tease showed a Terraria enemy called “Eye of Chthulu” popping out of the sky on Don’t Starve. The enemy characters received the Don’t Starve treatment. The art style and tone of the model fitted perfectly with the world, and fans were excited by this. Don’t Starve’s Twitter account reacted to the tease by saying, “Oops, I think we mixed something up somewhere. Oh well, I’m sure it will all sort itself out by next month”. By the tweets, the crossover might be releasing next month, although no specific date has been stated yet.

Some players were excited while others were complaining about the lack of updates on their respective platforms, but this was not the same when it comes to Terraria’s official forums. The excitement and joy from the forum members were almost palpable. Most of them were excited about the new content coming to Terraria. Some fans believe it’s a perfect idea to do a crossover with both games and how happy they are to get some new content for their favorite game.

Crossover content is nothing new to Terraria‘s developers. Terraria has several content crossovers with games like Minecraft, Pixel Piracy, Dungeon Defenders 2, Worms 3, and now Don’t Starve.

All players can do right now is wait for new updates and teasers. The developers might share more glimpses of the work they have been doing so far.
