Ghostbusters 2016 has been criticized by fans the world over before they have even watched it. Much to the surprise of a lot of people, the critics actually like the movie. It has a positive fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

If you visit Rotten Tomatoes, you will see that the movie currently (as of time of writing) has a score of 75 percent. This is based off of 72 reviews so far. 54 reviews are positive compared to only 18 negative reviews.

The critics consensus says: “Ghostbusters does an impressive job of standing on its own as a freewheeling, marvelously cast supernatural comedy – even if it can’t help but pale somewhat in comparison with the classic original.

Does this mean people have been too harsh on the movie based on its cast and trailer alone? Maybe, but it all depends on your own personal taste. Many critics didn’t like Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Warcraft, however a portion of the viewing audience like both films.

Ghostbusters 2016 comes out this Friday in North America while the video game is already out. Are you going to check out the movie based on the positive reviews?
