Most of what we’ve seen so far from Naughty Dog’s next narrative has pertained to the bleak picture of a post-apocalyptic world. However, in a recent issue of Game Informer magazine, Naughty Dog revealed that the game will feature an online component.
While they aren’t quite sure what that online component will consist of, the developer is currently exploring options.
“We’re going to have some sort of online component,” said Bruce Straley, the director of The Last of Us. “We’re working on a bunch of ideas, but we haven’t nailed anything down.”
Naughty Dog has proven that they know how to blend that cinematic experience with a functional online component. In Uncharted 2 & 3, the developer exceeded expectations from fans and managed to grow one of the largest online communities for the console.
