The Walking Dead: A New Frontier Episode 4 Release Aiming for April

If you’re a fan of Telltale’s games then you know that the wait between episodes can be long and tough. This was especially true for the latest episode of The Walking Dead, which took over three months to arrive since the two-episode premier. Now fans are wondering how long they’ll have to wait for The Walking Dead: A New Frontier Episode 4. According to the developer, it won’t be as long as the last time, with them aiming for an April release date.

This is not a full announcement that The Walking Dead: A New Frontier Episode 4 will be released in April, as the developer was quite clear in their Reddit AMA that they were currently working on it. This means that development troubles can happen and could push that date back. They were clear on one thing though, saying “you can rest assured that the wait for 4 and 5 will be much shorter than the wait for ep 3.”

Episode 5, which will serve as the season finale, is also aiming for a short wait, with Telltale’s Head of Creative Communications Job Stauffer saying that they hope to have it out in May. This one-two punch of episodes hasn’t been seen often before, so it would really help those who feel that the wait between episodes is a detriment to their enjoyment of the series.

Most gamers who feel this way have likely switched to waiting until the entire season is out, allowing them to play through all five episodes in one sitting. Some still enjoy the feeling of playing episodically though. This also helps the developer, as they look at the choices made in the game, and the feedback they get from fans, and make changes according to that for future episodes. We saw this a lot with Tales from the Borderlands, in fact.
