When the release date of the first episode of The Walking Dead: The Final Season was revealed earlier this year, it was stated that the game would be coming to Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC on August 14, with a Switch version coming later in the year. Well, it looks like plans have changed, and now Switch owners will be able to play the game sooner than expected.
Telltale Games recently announced that the first episode of The Walking Dead: The Final Season will be coming to the Switch on August 14 as well, alongside the Xbox One, PS4, and PC versions, in North America. European fans will have to wait a little bit longer, with the Switch version of the game premiering later this month in Europe. Theoretically, future episodes of the game will likely launch on all four platforms on the same day.
For those who just can’t wait, a demo of the game is currently available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC, which has players play through the first scene of the game and lasts around 15-20 minutes. You can also get caught up on the story by crafting Clementine’s past using the new Story Builder tool before The Walking Dead: The Final Season launches next Tuesday.
