The Tekken 7 Grand Finals at EVO 2018 has come and gone, and though it was certainly exciting, the real highlight of the event was what came after — the announcement of the new season, confirming the coming of two veteran fighters and an all-new one: Anna Williams, Lei Wulong and Negan from “The Walking Dead.”

For those unfamiliar with Anna Williams and Lei Wulong, know that those two are among some of the oldest characters in the entire Tekken franchise.

Anna Williams made her debut in the original Tekken where she serves as the personal bodyguard of Kazuya Mishima and sister of veteran fighter, Nina Williams; while, Lei Wulong, a series mainstay since Tekken 2, is a police officer and martial artist originating from China.

The reveal trailer showed what we can expect out of the two characters when they eventually arrive. The same, however, couldn’t be said about Negan whose announcement came out of nowhere.

For those who don’t know who Negan is, he is a character from “The Walking Dead” who made quite the impact with both fans of the series and characters in the story thanks to him bashing people’s heads in with Lucille, a wooden bat covered in barbed wire. He’ll presumably use it to do the same when he gets released, but all we’ve been treated to thus far was his silhouette.

These three characters are the first of six characters who will be coming to Tekken 7’s second season (Kazuma Kiryu when!?). As you might recall, the first season added Fatal Fury’s Geese Howard and Final Fantasy 15’s Noctis, along with additional costumes and Tekken Bowling mode.
