Fans of Marvel Vs Capcom 3 are most excited (or disappointed) about the new characters that are going to be included into Ultimate Marvel Vs Capcom 3, but there’s plenty more on the plate for the game that is coming this fall. The enhancements to the game were said to be many by producer Ryota Niitsuma.
For starters, aside from the 12 new characters that have already been revealed, they also be a wide array of new costumes for each character. Â These costumes are said to be more than just a simple color swap, adding appearances that reflect different appearances for each character. Â There will be “evil versions” of some characters as well. Â The inspiration for these evil costume upgrades are said to be from the 90’s SNES game War of the Gems.
Depending on where you pre-order the game, you’ll also be eligible for more bonus content, the producer told an audience at SDCC. Â Whether you choose to order from Best Buy, Amazon, or Gamestop, the pre-order DLC bonuses will be different.
Probably more important than the new characters and the costumes that will be included in Ultimate Marvel Vs Capcom 3 are the “tweaks” that have been performed to enhance the gameplay.
“The new tweaks they’ve put in, they’ve done things they really need to do with the game,” Dios said later. He specifically cited the ability to use X-factor while midair, not just on the ground. Â The expansion of that capability adds a new dimension to chaining combinations,” Niitsuma told the crowd. “You will have to revamp your fighting strategy.”
There’s also been rumblings about a spectator mode that could really help the multiplayer experience immensely.
Ultimate Marvel Vs Capcom 3 is scheduled for a November release on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
