With Comic-Con 2011 starting to heat up, it seems only appropriate that Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, the highly anticipated update to the acclaimed fighting game, is officially announced. Ultimate will add 12 new legends to the already robust Marvel vs. Capcom 3 roster, bringing the total overall roster of characters up to 50.
Today,the game’s first new characters have been revealed and they include the much-requested Capcom character Strider along with Ghost ‘n Goblin villain Firebrand (who may look like something you’d find in the Pokemon universe). On the Marvel side, hellfire-wielding Ghost Rider and deadly archer Hawkeye will be making their first appearances. More characters are set to be revealed in the coming months.
Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 will bring in 12 new characters, 8 new stages, and a refined fighting system. The game will release this November for $39.99 and you can check out the new character trailer below. The new characters are introduced around 1:15.
