Ubisoft recently held their E3 press conference for this year, and among a number of updates on existing games and franchises, the company also took the opportunity to announce a completely new IP.

At the E3 presentation, Ubisoft announced Gods & Monsters, a new game from the creators of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. Like Assassin’s Creed OdysseyGods & Monsters takes on the theme of ancient Greece, focusing largely on the culture’s mythology. However, the new game’s tone and art style are completely different from the team’s previous work. The story of the game will have the player stepping into the shoes of a hero who is tasked with saving the Greek gods from various mythological monsters. The description of the game promises “a beautiful fantasy world where tricky trials, treacherous dungeons, and heroic feats await.”

Gods & Monsters is set for release on February 25, 2020 and will launch on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, PC, and Google Stadia. Ubisoft seems to be going all in on Google’s upcoming streaming service, as several more of the company’s games, including Ghost Recon: Breakpoint and The Division 2 are set to come to the platform as well. You can watch the reveal trailer for the new game that debuted at the E3 presentation below.
