Naughty Dog may be hard at work developing The Last of Us Part II, but it seems they can still fit in some time to celebrate their previous games too. Today (May 10) marks the 2nd anniversary of the release of Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, which marked the end of Nathan Drake’s nearly ten-year adventure across the first four Uncharted games (well, first five games, if you’re counting Golden Abyss). To celebrate this anniversary, a new PS4 theme, as well as some iMessage Stickers, are now available.
A post on the Naughty Dog blog states that the company is celebrating this anniversary with a pack of free Uncharted 4 iMessage Stickers for iOS devices that feature the characters Nathan, Elena, Sully and Sam, but mostly Nathan. There is also a new PS4 theme available starting today called the UNCHARTED 10th Anniversary Gold Edition Theme. Don’t be fooled by its name; this new theme isn’t just a differently colored version of the previously released UNCHARTED 10th Anniversary Theme. Rather, this theme features a gold and black color scheme over several drawings of various scenes spanning the entire Uncharted series. You can buy this new theme for $1.99 at the PlayStation Store.
Last year saw the release of Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, the latest game in the series and the first to not star Nathan Drake. Though Naughty Dog has implied that it is not yet done with the Uncharted franchise, no new games in the series have been announced as the company is focusing its attention on finishing The Last of Us Part II, which will make an appearance at this year’s E3.
