Until Dawn really surprised gamers when it released back at the end of August as a legimately well made game with great scares. This is something that would see perfect for VR, but rather than getting ported, an entirely new game was announced at Paris Game’s Week.
Shu Yoshida, president of Sony Worldwide Studios took the stage to talk a bit about PlayStation VR, with one of the biggest reveals coming in the form of a completely new Until Dawn game that will be exclusive to PlayStation VR.
Until Dawn: Blood Rush is that game, which literally had no other information revealed about it from Yoshida, outside of the fact that it will be completely different from the original. He said there will be plenty of twists and turns, but did not go into any other details about the game.
Until Dawn seems like an absolutely perfect fit for a VR, as the horror theme can easily translate over to that platform. This is the kind of game that you can be immersed in and really help to sell this technology.
As we still don’t have a release date for the PlayStation VR, no release window was given for this either, but hopefully it won’t be too long.
Update: A separate video has been uploaded by Sony that shows the game off a little bit, which you can see below:
