We previously got a quick tease of the totally remade cinematics that would feature in Halo 2: Anniversary, but today’s full blown launch trailer is truly spectacular. Every cutscene from Halo 2 has been completely redone for Halo: The Master Chief Collection by Blur Studios. The final result is some of the best looking CGI that I have ever seen in a game. The fact that the scenes feature Master Chief, the Arbiter, and Cortana just makes it all the sweeter.

The Halo series has actually had a very nice story to go along with its sci-fi shooting action. The first game was a bit minimalist, but those restraints were removed for Halo 2 due to the massive success of the series. Seeing some of these classic scenes, such as when Master Chief gives the Covenant back their bomb, should please every fan. The work that was put into the motion capture and animation of regular humans seems especially nice, and should help alleviate some of the disconnect felt during the original game’s cutscenes.
Halo: The Master Chief Collection will be available exclusively for Xbox One on November 11th.
