Konami revealed last week a cool looking Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain PS4 console. Sadly, they will not be doing the same treatment for the Xbox One console.

As you may know already, the special Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain PS4 console is in the same colors as Big Boss’ bionic hand. The console also comes with a cool looking DUALSHOCK 4 controller too.

Senior Producer at Kojima Productions, Ken-ichiro Imaizumi, sadly confirmed there will be no special Metal Gear Solid V: The Phanton Pain Xbox One console. He said on Twitter: “Sorry, no plan. Only PS4“.

Sony may have done a deal with Konami to make the Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain design exclusive to the PS4. Microsoft did the same thing releasing the special Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Xbox One console late last year.

For now, the Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain PS4 has only been announced for Japan. Imaizumi said it’s up to Sony itself to decide if it wants to release this console to countries outside of Japan. If you like the look of the console, go ask Sony and not Konami. If there’s a huge demand for the console, hopefully it will come out to the West.
