The release date and special features for the X-Men: Apocalypse Blu-ray have now been revealed in full. Much like many other movies, it will come out digitally a few weeks earlier.
Entertainment Weekly reports that the X-Men: Apocalypse Blu-ray will be released on October 4th, 2016. This is the same date that will see it come out on DVD and 4k Ultra HD.
If you want to own the movie digitally, you can get it a month earlier on September 9th, 2016. The movie will be available for you to pre-order at the San Diego Comic Con via the Fox booth. If you pre-order, you also get “a limited-edition Dazzler vinyl cover”.
The special features will have deleted and extended scenes with intro commentary from Bryan Singer. There is a gag reel, wrap party video, behind the scenes documentary and a photo gallery.
Lastly, the home release of X-Men: Apocalypse includes commentary from both Bryan Singer and Simon Kinberg. You’ll get to hear some of the decisions they made while making the movie and more.
Comic Con is later this week so we may hear more news of upcoming big superhero movies and more. One has to wonder what the future holds for the X-Men franchise.
