According to a recent study by a European Commission, the Xbox 360 and Xbox Live offer one of the safest online communities in the world.  Heralded by the commission for disabling minor profiles from public view, this is one feature that parents can take comfort in.

“Young people enjoy and derive great benefits from social networking online but are often not conscious enough of risks such as grooming,” said Neelie Kroes of the Commission. “Social networking sites need to take seriously their responsibilities towards these youngsters.  I intend to address these issues later this year in a comprehensive strategy on making the internet a safer place for children through a combination of protective and empowerment measures.”

Which is great, and safe and all, but you can’t just go around goating 50 year old COD players, they’ll lose it.
