The Xbox One date that was scheduled for today has been temporarily delayed, according to Xbox Live’s Major Nelson.

The update intends to bring a number of alterations (detailed courtesy of The Verge), but the Major was quick to announce on Twitter that last minute tweaks mean a slight delay in the release –

”FYI: The February #XboxOne System Update will ship this week, but not today. The team is working on finalizing. More details when I get them.”

It makes sense to forego deadlines if it means receiving an update that actually functions in the manner intended without adding additional issues. Case and point; the framerate issues with COD. Some may be frustrated by this decision from Microsoft, though there is nothing particularly striking about this update with the recently announced March update a much more interesting acquisition (details HERE)

Are you happy to see Microsoft ensuring that the update is functional or frustrated by the delay? Leave a comment below with your thoughts!
