Microsoft anticipates a very successful holiday shopping season for their Xbox One.  Following a price cut, de-coupling of the Kinect from the console, and numerous software bundles, the console it’s certainly never been a more affordable system.

While many Black Friday shoppers will be looking to score an Xbox One at retailers, some are already sold out, according to Microsoft’s Aaron Greenberg.

“It’s not even Black Friday & #XboxOne is sold out on Walmart & #1 at Amazon,” said Greenberg via Twitter.

Double checking on the listings from Greenberg, Walmart.com is indeed sold out.  Though they’ll likely have plenty of supply at their brick and mortar shops.  On Amazon, The Assassin’s Creed: Unity bundle is the #1 best seller in video games.

Other retailers like Best Buy appear to have ample online stock of the console, in numerous SKUs.  These range from the bare bones $329 console, all the way up to a $429 console that includes the Kinect, Assassin’s Creed: Unity and Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag, as well as an extra controller.

Both Sony and Microsoft’s new consoles have had a great first year.  Though it’s undeniable that Sony’s PS4 has gotten off to a better start.  The PS4 has been the top-selling console in North America this year, a region where the Xbox 360 dominated the PlayStation 3.
