‘You want to f*ck with Trump, elect Kennedy’: Jack Schlossberg’s congressional run banks on one wild strategy to defeat MAGA

JFK’s legacy just got a ring light.

Jack Schlossberg, the grandson of President John F. Kennedy, is running for Congress in New York’s 12th District. He wants to take the seat that Rep. Jerry Nadler is leaving behind. People close to his campaign say he has a different plan to fight against the MAGA movement, and it’s not like anything we’ve seen before.

According to Page Six, Schlossberg has become well known on social media for talking against Donald Trump and his team. He even criticizes his own cousin, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who now works as Health Secretary.

He also likes to make fun of Vice President JD Vance, which keeps his 745,000 Instagram fans entertained. He has another 839,000 people following him on TikTok. His posts can be wild and strange, but people who know his campaign say that’s the whole point.

This campaign is betting everything on being loud

Someone involved with the campaign explained why Schlossberg acts this way. They said Trump can’t stop thinking about the Kennedy family. Another person was even more direct when talking about the other people running for the same job.

“Does Trump know Erik Bottcher? No, he doesn’t know who that is. He knows Jack. You want to f*ck with Trump, elect Kennedy. It’s not whose going to be a better congressman. It’s who is going to be a better fighter and who has weight in the digital world.”

Schlossberg plans to talk about three main problems he sees in America. He calls them a cost crisis, a corruption crisis, and a constitutional crisis. Everything he brings up over the next few months will connect back to these three things. That includes talking about ICE, free speech, fair treatment under the law, and where government money goes.

He’s 32 years old and his mother is Caroline Kennedy, who used to be a US Ambassador. He went to Yale and got degrees from both Harvard Law School and Harvard Business School. Before running for office, he wrote about politics and gave a speech at the Democratic National Convention.

When he told the media that he’s running, he said he’s spent two years learning how to handle the messy media world we live in now, and he thinks that makes him ready for this job.

But some people aren’t sure he’s the right person for this. Rep. Nadler said back in September that having a Kennedy in his seat isn’t good or bad by itself. What matters is having someone who has actually done public service before, and Schlossberg hasn’t done that yet.

Other people are also trying to get this job. Assemblyman Micah Lasher will probably get Nadler’s support. Liam Elkind, Alex Bores, and Erik Bottcher are running too. Still, the people working with Schlossberg think his social media reach gives him something the others don’t have. The way he goes after MAGA supporters online has made lots of people know who he is.

Schlossberg was meeting with staff members at his Chelsea apartment while getting ready to run. At a fancy event at Carnegie Hall in October, people saw a different side of him. He seemed calm and polished, not like his crazy internet posts.

Someone there said he talked to everyone in the room and they really liked him. He wasn’t acting wild like he does online. His whole plan seems to be about staying on Trump’s enemies list so the former president keeps paying attention to what he’s doing.
