Flights, whether short or long, make it absolutely necessary for passengers to prioritize comfort, as unlike other modes of transportation, where one can get up, walk around, and chill, there’s no such option on an airplane. But a rare first-class upgrade for free is something that no one will refuse, even if they have to pull something extraordinary.
Well, this has happened recently with Delta Air Lines passengers who agreed to fulfill the gate agent’s hilarious requirement for a free first-class upgrade. As reported by Brobible, a TikTok video circulating online shows the gate agent Nat organizing a breakdance contest at the airport, with the best dancer winning access to premium features throughout their journey.
This hilarious moment is from Salt Lake City International Airport, where Nate made an announcement saying, “Anyone willing to do a little break dance to be seated in first class? Anyone?” Following this request, it seems peak Michael Jackson energy was evoked among the passengers, as everyone tried their best to score first-class treatment.
Who would let go of this opportunity?
“I will pass on my chances to score premium flight features,” says no one ever. Nate’s requirement was not just fun; it seemed like an easy yet fun deal. This was not a serious competition among professional break dancers, but an on-the-spot, fun activity among common people hoping to travel from point A to point B with a little more comfort. As a result, almost everyone seemed enthusiastic for the contest and agreed to compete.
Of course, no one showed professional-level performances, but they were fun to watch. The contestants showcased basic moves reminiscent of popping and locking, with one of them shifting into what appeared to be Russian folk dancing. Nate selected two volunteers, and they ended up winning the first-class seats after their playful routines.
The audience, on the other hand, buzzed with laughter and applause, and recorded the moment for their TikTok posts. Apart from the flight attendant refusing to drink coffee on the plane, this event was one of those instances where employees had to take a sarcastic approach to make something fun for customers, which could have been boring otherwise.
The prize from Delta, the airline that was involved in an incident with Porsha Williams, was justified for the two performers, as they showed no hesitation and overcame their hesitation to dance in front of a considerable audience.
