A new viral video, alleging to show how Little Caesars locations prepare their famous pizza sauce has hit TikTok, as per BroBible, and the process has viewers pretty grossed out. While most other restaurants seem to be getting more expensive by the minute, Little Caesars remained a total lifesaver when you need a quick, cheap meal.
You can still grab a Hot-N-Ready cheese pizza for about $6, which is an absolute steal compared to what other chains are charging these days. People always wonder how they keep prices so low, usually attributing the price point to efficient preparation or ingredient choices. This latest video, however, suggests some locations might be cutting corners in ways nobody wants to see.
The video, posted by user @michiganmdn, shows a worker standing over a large bucket in a commercial kitchen, pouring seasoning into it and stirring it up with a giant metal whisk. The caption is what really set people off, with the user writing: “This is how we make the sauce that y’all love by The bathroom.” The user followed up later by claiming it was their first day on the job and they were just “following instructions,” but the video itself clearly stated, “Don’t ever eat Little Caesars pizza again.”
Putting food ingredients on the floor is just awful, and it’s actually illegal in certain places
In Georgia, where the TikToker supposedly resides, preparing food on the ground is strictly forbidden. State Food Service Rules and Regulations are crystal clear about this requirement. Food and preparation materials must be kept in a clean, dry location that isn’t exposed to dust or other contamination. Crucially, everything needs to be at least six inches above the floor.
Preparing sauce in a bucket directly on the ground breaks all three of those rules. If a health inspector caught this, that location could be facing serious fines, mandatory food safety courses, or even closure. What’s worrying is that this isn’t an isolated incident, either. This isn’t even the first time Little Caesars has gone viral for alleged poor sauce prep.
Now, here’s the good news: this seems to be an outlier, not the official standard. Little Caesars has never officially confirmed their exact process, only stating the sauce is “made from fresh-packed, vine-ripened California crushed tomatoes.” Plenty of other employees have posted their own videos showing a much cleaner process, typically involving pouring tomato concentrate, spices, and water into a bucket while working over a clean counter or using a sink.
Many users in the comments section confirmed this cleaner method was their experience. One user wrote, “Yall make yall sauce on the floor? When I worked fa lil ceasars we made it on a table.” Another commenter insisted the issue was location-specific, saying, “Nah that’s just at your place.”
While some commenters shared horror stories, saying things like, “The one I worked at was completely disgusting,” and confirming similar floor prep, the overall customer reaction is pretty hilarious and very telling about the state of inflation. If the pizza stays cheap, people are willing to overlook a lot. One highly favorited comment summed up the vibe perfectly: “Just have the pizzas ready to go bro.” It seems for $6, some customers are willing to take their chances with the floor bucket.
