A server recently shared the details of a Saturday night shift that went entirely off the rails, leaving her to deal with everything from plumbing disasters to angry customers who blamed her for inventory shortages. Hadleigh, who posts on TikTok as @hadleigh_ann, documented the experience in a video that has since gained significant traction online.
As reported by the Daily Dot, Hadleigh says she arrived at her shift, expecting to work until closing time. Plans changed quickly, and she was informed that she would instead be clocking out later than usual. With 15 servers on the floor, her section was significantly smaller than she was accustomed to, yet she still managed to earn nearly $70 in her first hour. By the time she expected to leave, she had reportedly pulled in about $115.
Things, however, took a sharp turn for the worse when the bathrooms flooded, forcing the establishment to shut its doors for an hour and a half. While the restaurant was closed, Hadleigh reportedly spent her time in the back, waiting and applying for other serving positions.

During this downtime, she also discovered that another server had managed to convince the manager to let them stay and close, despite earlier instructions that this would not be allowed. When the doors finally opened again, the situation did not improve. Instead, the list of operational failures grew longer.
The restaurant had reportedly run out of ribs, pasta, and spinach dip, and to make matters worse, both the tea and coffee makers were completely broken. Hadleigh claims she was assigned two tables of eight people each, and she had to be the one to break the news about the missing menu items.
One group of diners was reportedly difficult, leaving her with no tip at all. Another table, facing a bill of $180, left a small tip of only $3 because of the missing food. To cap off the disrespect, a group reportedly poured salt all over the table and the floor before exiting, leaving her to clean up their mess.
The internal management of the restaurant seemed just as broken as the coffee makers. By the time the night ended, several of her colleagues had reportedly left without completing basic closing duties like rolling silverware or cleaning their designated areas.
Even more concerning, Hadleigh claimed that three servers forged her signature on their cash-out paperwork. Since she serves as the front-of-house manager, she is the one responsible for signing off on those documents, and having her signature faked is a massive issue.
By the end of the evening, Hadleigh had earned a total of $118. As she put it, “You leave with none of your dignity.” The video, which has garnered nearly 420,000 likes on TikTok, struck a chord with many viewers who were shocked by the state of the restaurant.
One commenter wrote, “Why did y’all reopen if you had absolutely nothing in stock LOL,” a sentiment that received over 55,000 likes. Another viewer noted, “This sounds like the most poorly managed restaurant ever. I hope you get out soon.”
