A Quadruple-amputee cornhole champion was just charged with first-degree murder, but the details of the crime have left investigators stunned

Him not having all four limbs is raising concerns.

Crimes in underrated sports seem to be making headlines lately. Following a cheating in a fishing tournament that cost a fisherman $10,000, the attention has now moved towards cornhole, but for something completely unexpected.

This is because one of the champions of the sport has been arrested for first-degree murder, and while it’s already something that will gain plenty of attention, the curiosity behind this incident is elevated further because the player has no arms or legs.

As per the Daily Mail, the murder took place in Maryland, inside a Tesla SUV, where the victim, including the cornhole champion, Dayton James Webber, was seated. There were two more people inside the vehicle as well, who could have been suspected as the real criminals, but as the investigators dug deeper, they were left stunned.

No one thought Webber could shoot, but his video say otherwise

While reading this news, you’d probably be wondering how a quadruple amputee can possibly attempt murder. Well, the victim was reportedly shot by Webber, and your doubts about him shooting can potentially go away with the videos of him online, where he can be seen using a pistol. The way he has managed to shoot without hands is indeed impressive, but it looks like his skill has become compelling evidence in this case.

Speaking of the case, the victim, Bradrick Michael Wells, was sitting with Weber in the front passenger seat with two others in the back while Dayton was driving. It’s still unclear how the cornhole champion managed to drive, but authorities confirmed it. As he was in the driver’s seat, an argument broke out between Webber and Wells that became so heated that the 27-year-old player pulled out a handgun and shot the victim in the head, killing him.

Happened in La Plata, Charles County, reports say that Webber kept driving after the murder but was later found at a hospital in Charlottesville, Virginia. There, he was taken into custody and is now waiting for extradition back to Maryland. Webber even asked the other two passengers to help him take the victim out of the car, but they refused to help and left the scene.

Dayton James Webber is one of the celebrated athletes in the media. He lost all four limbs in infancy due to a severe bacterial infection and was even given a 5 per cent survival chance. These challenges didn’t stop him from becoming an inspiration; he still went on to become a cornhole champion. It’s still not confirmed that the athlete is the one who murdered, but judging by the current intel, the authorities have charged him with first- and second-degree murder.

Until a trial concludes and a verdict is entered, he is legally considered presumed innocent under US law.
