Just like Logan Paul, who recently beefed with NFL star Tom Brady, his brother, Jake, is also a YouTuber-turned-athlete. But unlike Logan, his brother serves in the boxing ring and seems to share different political views as well. Apart from boxing, Jake Paul is known for having friendly terms with President Donald Trump and supporting MAGA. However, his recent remarks on a podcast put his loyalty to the president in question.
His views came under the spotlight when he was a guest on Theo Von’s podcast. As per the Mandatory, both were having a casual conversation that later turned into a mini-session in which they discussed the history and roles of leaders. Speaking of war, they also shed light on the ongoing US-Iran conflict, in which Jake Paul said that Donald Trump should also participate (fight) in the war.
Jake Paul shared what he read about the Roman emperor Marcus Aurelius. This seemingly sparked a conversation which later led the boxer to say, “I think I put that on the line with Anthony Joshua. Like, I’m down for this s**t, bro. But like, I think you’re right. That’s a really good point, actually. Like Trump should be on the front lines.” To which Theo added, “or Barron,” then Paul further said, “I don’t know if he’s old enough yet.”
Jake’s sarcasm doesn’t look like something that can put his relationship with Trump in jeopardy
Jake Paul’s point may seem fair, but Theo Von’s This Past Weekend podcast is known for comedy. Both of them appeared to be talking about Roman emperors and leaders who personally fought in battle, mixing politics with edgy humor. Before talking about Trump, Jake called the idea of politicians fighting as “dope” and also said, “Like if I ever was running for office, I would also be like super down to have a AR-15 and f***in’ shoot these mother***fers.”
This suggests that, before proposing Trump’s involvement on the battlefield, the boxer was also keen to fight if he were a leader. All of this conversation was filled with sarcasm, as when Jake Paul mentioned Trump, he and Theo Von shared laughs, giving a clear sign that it was just a casual, unfiltered conversation. The boxer, while comparing his fight with Anthony Joshua, dropped his opinion, which might not harm his relationship with Donald Trump.
Jake Paul has been seen supporting the president and MAGA since the 2024 election. He released fiery videos and social media content backing Trump and attacking Democrats, which seemingly helped the president reach the younger audience of the boxer. Following these events, at the rally in Kentucky, Donald Trump publicly endorsed the YouTuber-turned-boxer, making a bold claim that Jake looks promising to run for political office.
These examples of their friendly terms back Jake’s pro-Trump views. As a result, his recent opinion about the president being on the ‘frontlines’ sounded odd to many. Since Trump hasn’t responded to him yet, it looks like their bond remains unchanged.
