The court has set Adva Lavie’s arraignment for April 6, following charges of six felonies related to an alleged dating app scam. Lavie, a 28-year-old model and social media influencer who also goes by Mia Ventura, Mia Ventura Shoshana, or just Shana, has been accused of using popular dating apps to target and burglarize the homes of individuals she met online, as reported by BroBible.
Prosecutors say Lavie, known for her past work as a Penthouse Pet and Playboy model, and for claiming to be the first-ever top Israeli OnlyFans model, would troll online dating sites specifically to pick out her targets. It sounds like she was incredibly calculated in her approach.
The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office alleges that between 2023 and 2025, Lavie meticulously built relationships through these apps, then used that trust to gain access to victims’ homes and steal from them, akin to Brazil’s infamous ‘Catwoman.’ Her alleged victims were primarily elderly and affluent individuals in the Los Angeles area, including locations like Westlake Village, West Hollywood, Los Angeles, and Beverly Hills.

The District Attorney’s Office stated that Lavie is accused of “posing as a girlfriend and travel companion to gain access to victims’ homes and then stealing cash, gold and high-end designer items.” Authorities officially charged Adva Lavie with six felonies. These include two counts of first-degree residential burglary, two counts of grand theft, and two counts of unauthorized use of personal identifying information.
She’s already entered a not guilty plea, which is her right, of course. For now, the court has ordered her to avoid her alleged victims and to wear an ankle monitor, which seems like a sensible precaution given the nature of the accusations.
Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan J. Hochman said, “This ruling means the evidence in this case will now be presented before a jury.” He also made it clear that his office is determined. “At her trial, we will prove beyond a reasonable doubt that this defendant exploited trust built through online relationships to gain access to victims’ homes and steal from them. Her ability to deceptively influence others, whether in person or online, has now come to an end. Our office is committed to holding accountable anyone who uses deception and manipulation to prey on others.”
If Lavie is convicted on all counts, she could face some serious time, up to 11 years and 8 months in state prison.
