Sierra Entertainment have released the first developer diary which is set to be the first in a four-part behind the scenes look at King’s Quest from The Odd Gentlemen.

King’s Quest is the reimagining of a classic adventure title for a whole new audience. Over the past thirty years fans have enjoyed the King’s Quest games and now The Odd Gentlemen look to take a new look at them. Check out the official synopsis.

“Old and grey, King Graham – the hero made legend in the original King’s Quest games – shares the extraordinary stories of his youth with his curious granddaughter, Gwendolyn, taking players back to the feats that shaped a kingdom.

And so begins an episodic saga that honors the core characters and familiar storylines of King Graham’s early adventures, setting up new chapters tied to – but independent of – the series that helped define Sierra and the adventure genre. Through these tales, a whole new generation can finally experience one of gaming’s most beloved journeys.”

As the game progresses in development, Sierra Entertainment have released a brand new behind the scenes video titled ‘The Vision’ which looks at what the small group of developers at The Odd Gentlemen are attempting to accomplish with the reimagining of King’s Quest. Check out the video below.

The first part of King’s Quest is set to release later this year as a digital download on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC.
