Alongside Respawn Entertainment announcing Titanfall’s release date and Collector’s Edition early today, a new official gameplay trailer has been released. Uploaded to the official TitanfallGame YouTube channel, the 4 minute ‘trailer’ (seen above) actually appears to re-use old footage that the community has already seen.
In addition, the word ‘trailer’ usually brings to mind sweeping camera angles with glossy visuals and environment. Not to draw away from the graphics of Titanfall, but this is actually 4 minutes of gameplay footage, with in-game sounds. It seems that the reason why the video was uploaded however is what precedes and follows the footage.
The newly announced release date, 11th March 2014, is advertised at the beginning and end of the gameplay trailer. The following synopsis of the game is also offered in the YouTube description:
“Experience Titanfall’s fast-paced, vertical combat with this Angel City cinematic multiplayer gameplay video.
Titanfall delivers fast-paced, future combat that gives you the freedom to fight your way as both elite assault pilots and fast, heavily armored Titans.
