While we still don’t have the full details regarding Xbox One’s more powerful Scorpio model, we do know that it’s slated to launch sometime next year. Phil Spencer said following the PlayStation 4 Pro announcement that the Scorpio will be more powerful than Sony’s new console, and now he’s given an update on its progress.

Spencer revealed that he attended a day-long meeting regarding the console recently, and it sounds like everything is going according to plan and is right on schedule. He made the announcement on Twitter, saying “I’m in a day long review of where the team is on Scorpio right now, amazing progress and we are feeling good about schedule.”

While we’re still a ways off from the console actually being released, the pricing of the console continues to be a conversation that has everyone split. It’s obviously expected to be more expensive than the Xbox One S, but just how much more remains a mystery. Spencer has previously said that the console’s final price won’t be a price that consumers haven’t seen before, but that could mean anything at this point.

The next console upgrade that will be released is the PlayStation 4 Pro, which launches on November 10th and costs $399.
