If you were thinking of getting the physical version of Gears of War 4 Ultimate Edition, you are out of luck if you are wanting to get it at Gamestop.
Community manager for The Coaltion, Adam Fletcher, tweeted out this message: “It appears http://GameStop.com is sold out of the physical version of Gears 4: UE. I recommend checking local stores to preorder!”
He then said in a further tweet that Gamestop stores are sold out for the Gears of War 4 Ultimate Edition both in-store and online. He said if you are seeking the steelbook for the game, it’s best to look out for it at other retailers.
The Gears of War 4 Ultimate Edition is the version of the game that hardcore fans should seek out. Apart from the steelbook, you can also play the game early on October 7th. It also includes the Season Pass and includes the Xbox 360 Gears of War games too. Not to mention other benefits will be coming your way in the near future.
If you want to get the Ultimate Edition, you should look out for it at other retailers, or you can just get the digital version. You miss out on the steelbook, but the rest of the content is the same.
