PlayStation Europe accidentally uploaded the wrong free game as part of its PS Plus January 2016 lineup. The correction has now been made.
PlayStation Europe tweeted: “Heads-up PS Plus members – Legends of War: Patton’s Campaign (PSP) was mistakenly included in January’s Monthly Games. ”
“It has now been replaced with History: Legends of War (PS Vita). Download now: https://store.playstation.com/#!/games/history-legends-of-war/cid=EP4136-PCSB00198_00-LEGENDSOFWAR0001 …”
This makes sense now that the correction has been mode. Sony doesn’t really give away free PSP games each month during its PS Plus promotions. It is only limited to PS4, PS3 and PS Vita games.
Someone at PlayStation Europe must have gotten the two titles mixed up as they both have “Legends of War” in the title. It has now been fixed so PS Vita owners can now play the correct free game instead of downloading an old PSP title.
The other free games from PS Plus in January include: “Dragon Age: Origins – PS3, Grim Fandango Remastered – PS4, PS Vita, Hardware: Rivals – PS4, Medal of Honor Warfighter – PS3 and Nihilumbra, PS Vita”
Sony offers free games each month to PS Plus subscribers. This is a great deal as thousands of dollars are saved each year if you were to buy the games separately.
