Trump Shared AI Video ‘Spewing Excrement’ On Protesters, And Jeff Daniels Just Asked The Question Everyone’s Thinking

The star thinks Trump crossed a line

Actor Jeff Daniels has called out President Trump for sharing an AI-generated video that showed him dumping brown liquid on protesters. The incident has people talking about how leaders should act and treat others.

During a Tuesday interview with Nicolle Wallace, Daniels talked about the video that Trump posted on Truth Social over the weekend. The video showed Trump wearing a crown while flying a plane and dropping brown liquid onto people protesting below.

The video was shared on the same day millions of Americans joined No Kings Day protests across the country. According to The Hill, Daniels asked if this kind of behavior was really necessary, saying, “Do we really have to treat people like that?”

This Feels Like A New Low, Even For Politics

The 70-year-old actor, known for his roles in Dumb and Dumber and Good Night, and Good Luck, compared Trump to past presidents to make his point. “Would Lincoln have done that?” Daniels asked during the interview. Wallace said she didn’t think Nixon would have done it either.

Daniels kept going with the comparison, saying that Reagan and both Bush presidents wouldn’t have shared something like this. The actor grew up in Michigan and started a theater company there. He said people in the Midwest care about treating others with respect.

“I think people in the Midwest, where I am, we value our decency and our civility,” Daniels said. He added that people in his area don’t just follow whatever is happening on the coasts and stick to their own values.

Looking to the future, Daniels said Trump’s actions might catch up with him if he doesn’t keep his promises about fixing the economy. “Down the road, if he doesn’t deliver on the economy like he promised he would, then that stuff will start to add up. And they’ll get tired of it, and they’ll vote for change,” the actor said. Trump has also recently attacked world leaders with harsh words

While on Wallace’s show, Daniels also played a song called Crazy World that he wrote after thinking about the No Kings protest. The Emmy Award-winning actor sang while playing guitar. The song had lines like, “This crazy world’s gone crazy. Who am I to judge? Nice to know in the world full of hate, there’s someone out there still making love.” Trump also called the millions of No Kings protesters a joke

Daniels also said he thinks things like basic decency, treating people right, and following the law will become important to voters again, no matter which side they’re on. He thinks every generation wants change and that voters wanted help with money problems but still care about how people act.
