A hacker calling themselves Cyberleek leaked GTA VI gameplay and the map, then warned Rockstar and listed three demands they must meet

A hacker identifying as Cyberleek has leaked multiple gameplay clips and what appears to be the full map for Grand Theft Auto VI, marking a security incident for Rockstar Games. As detailed by UNILAD, the breach comes as the game remains scheduled for release on November 19, 2026. Rockstar has not publicly addressed the leaked material.

Cyberleek framed the breach as a protest against what they describe as anti-consumer practices across the gaming industry. In a released document, the hacker wrote, “Publishers sell licenses and call them purchases,” adding that companies “ship unfinished games and call them living services.” Cyberleek also accused publishers of locking content on discs and marketing it as DLC, and said gamers are getting less for what they pay each year.

The group listed three demands it wants met: the removal of digital pre-orders, the elimination of fake single-player DLC already present in game files, and mandatory offline fallback modes for single-player titles. Cyberleek said it “will not stop” until Rockstar issues a public statement and formal apology, adding that the company needs to show a “concrete commitment to be better.”

This isn’t Rockstar’s first high-profile security breach

Rockstar dealt with a major security breach in 2023 involving the hacking group Lapsus$. That incident led to the arrest and sentencing of teenage hacker Arion Kurtaj, who received an indefinite hospital order for his role, with the financial impact of the breach estimated at up to $5 million.

The leak also arrives close to Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look, a presentation set to premiere on Netflix on August 27. It follows a recent case in which a Rockstar developer’s public comments about outside reporting on the game drew attention before the employee disappeared from social media. Netflix VP of Nonfiction Series Brandon Riegg said the collaboration reflects “a place where the most ambitious storytelling can find the biggest audience.”

Rockstar confirmed the November 19, 2026 launch date in a statement released on November 6, 2025, saying the extra development time was needed to reach the level of polish players expect. The studio has said the setting, the state of Leonida, will mark a modern return to Vice City. Fan anticipation for the game has also fueled other viral moments, including a recent GTA VI Extended Look leak that reportedly revealed the runtime of the Netflix presentation ahead of schedule.

Rockstar Games has not commented publicly on Cyberleek’s specific allegations or the leaked material.
