Woman Orders Chicken From Panda Express And Sees It’s Pink, But The Restaurant’s Reaction Is What Really Shocked Her

More like pink panic!

A woman from California had a bad time at Panda Express after she got what looked like raw chicken in her meal. But what made things even worse was how the restaurant workers responded when she tried to complain about it.

The woman, who goes by Glitter Sparkles on TikTok, posted about what happened in a video that got over 32,000 views. In the video, you can see a piece of orange chicken that has a pink color in the center. After she saw this, she decided to call the restaurant and let them know about the problem.

According to Bro Bible, The employee she spoke to on the phone did not believe her complaint at all. The worker told her “no we don’t serve raw chicken” and basically refused to accept that there was any issue. This response made her even more upset about the whole situation.

Getting Taken Seriously Takes More Than A Phone Call

Later on, the woman explained in her comment section that she actually went back to the store in person to get her money back. When she first got there, the workers were not very nice to her. But once she pulled out her phone and showed them the picture of the pink chicken, they completely changed how they acted and started taking her seriously.

Not everyone who saw the video agreed that the chicken was actually undercooked. One person said, “The orange chicken is dark meat and sometimes dark meat is pink when cooked to.”

Someone else wrote a long explanation saying, “It looks cooked. Chicken thighs tend to have cooked meat and still have a pink hue to it. Did you cut it down the middle? If it was raw, it would be white on the outside and the center would be a more of a golden peach color in the middle.” But the woman stuck to her story and said it looked, felt, and tasted raw to her.

Eating chicken that has not been cooked all the way through can make you really sick. Health experts say raw chicken can have dangerous germs in it like Campylobacter, Salmonella, or Clostridium perfringens. If you eat it, you might get food poisoning and have problems like throwing up, an upset stomach, diarrhea, fever, and cramps. She is not the only person who has had problems with fast food lately, as another TikToker shared a viral video about disappointing steak nuggets from Arby’s.

Food safety guidelines say all chicken needs to be cooked until it reaches 165 degrees Fahrenheit inside. Experts also point out that you cannot tell if chicken is safe just by looking at the color. The only way to really know is by using a thermometer to check the temperature. One person in the comments mentioned, “Dark meat can still be pink in some spots even when cooked to 165.”

People who get sick from eating bad food at restaurants can actually take legal action. They can sue the restaurant and try to get money to cover their medical bills and other problems. There have been some big cases in the past where people won a lot of money.

Back in 1993, a family got $15.6 million after their daughter got very sick from eating an undercooked burger at Jack in the Box. Fast food restaurants have dealt with all kinds of issues over the years, including Burger King making special Halloween burgers that had a surprising ingredient in them.
