Following Bill Cinton’s hot tub photo reveal, former president’s top aide slams DOJ instead, claiming ‘someone or something is being protected’

Top tier deflection.

Bill Clinton’s deputy chief of staff, Angel Ureña, is publicly demanding that the Department of Justice release all remaining documents related to the former president in files concerning Jeffrey Epstein, claiming that “someone or something is being protected,” as per The Hill. This strong statement, which Ureña made Monday on X, comes just days after the DOJ released an initial batch of controversial photos involving President Clinton.

If you were wondering why the Clinton team is suddenly pushing so hard for transparency, it’s because the initial document dump featured some pretty eyebrow-raising images. One photo shows President Clinton sitting in a hot tub with an unidentified person. Another image shows a hidden-identity woman sitting directly on his lap. It’s important to note that President Clinton has not actually been accused of any wrongdoing in connection with Epstein or his awful sex-trafficking ring.

Despite the lack of formal accusations, Ureña is adamant that the public needs to see everything the DOJ has. He cited the Epstein Files Transparency Act, saying the department is required to “produce the full and complete record the public demands and deserves.”

Congressional lawmakers echo Ureña’s accusation against the DOJ

Ureña didn’t hold back his personal assessment of the situation, either. He believes that the manner in which the DOJ released the documents, along with the information it has provided so far, makes one thing perfectly clear.”Someone or something is being protected,” Ureña stated. “We do not know whom, what or why. But we do know this: We need no such protection.”

It turns out that congressional lawmakers are echoing Ureña’s frustrations. Reps. Ro Khanna and Thomas Massie, who co-sponsored the transparency law, have already criticized the DOJ. They believe the department isn’t releasing everything it holds on Epstein and has been redacting too many names of individuals mentioned within the files.

The official stance from President Clinton’s team has remained consistent. Just last Friday, Ureña had posted that President Clinton was among those who “knew nothing and cut Epstein off before his crimes came to light.”

This whole situation gets a little more complex when you look at the historical context. Ghislaine Maxwell, who was Epstein’s accomplice, was honored at a Clinton Global Initiative event in 2013. This is noteworthy because that event happened years after Maxwell had already been accused of assisting the disgraced financier in his crimes.

It seems like we’re nowhere near the end of this story. With President Clinton’s deputy chief of staff demanding full transparency and bipartisan lawmakers agreeing that the DOJ is hiding documents, the pressure is mounting for the department to release the unredacted truth. You can bet the House committee is going to be watching closely as that December 17 deadline approaches.
