UFC and its influence on American media are well known, but the American government has boosted its stock once again by having FBI agents train with real-life fighting athletes from the UFC. FBI director Kash Patel announced this program, and he seems quite content with its impact on the agency. The organization, through these and other projects, could enhance its social image in America, and it seems like UFC is getting its due opportunity.
According to Variety, Kash Patel, in a seminar discussing this program, declared that it is a great opportunity for federal officers to train with some of the best fighting athletes on the face of the earth. He mentioned that the FBI would do even better for Americans’ safety with this training and praised Dana White for his efforts with the UFC, making it the face of combat sports worldwide.
Patel, in a statement, said, “Tremendous opportunity for our FBI agents to learn and train with some of the greatest athletes on earth — helping the world’s premier law enforcement agency be even better prepared to protect the American people.” He also added, “Dana White has changed the game in the mixed martial arts industry and we’re extremely honored to be partnered with him, the professionals and the UFC. We are grateful for their shared love of our nation, so that we can better defend her.”
UFC’s White House series announcement seems to open the door to exclusive government privileges
Kash Patel’s decision to have FBI agents trained by the fighting organization seems to be part of UFC’s influence in government circles after Donald Trump’s announcement of a UFC fight card in the White House. UFC is apparently getting great perks, and the government, too, seems to be taking advantage of the influx of talented fighters bringing different fighting techniques to the FBI. Once properly trained, the agency will have elite combat skills along with the other must-have resources.
Recent dominant UFC fighters like Merab Dvalishvili, Islam Makhachev, and Ilia Topuria bring long win streaks and title defenses to programs like Kash Patel’s. Fighters such as Justin Gaethje are already training FBI agents at Quantico in MMA tactics, boosting agency readiness.
With this announcement, UFC has apparently become even more relevant to the American social fabric. Following the UFC White House card, scheduled on Trump’s birthday, and now this training program, UFC might eventually become the face of combat sports in the world.
