Tomorrow PlayStation 3 owners will finally get their first crack at DLC for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim with the Dragonborn Expansion. However, you’ll also need update 1.8 if you want to play the DLC. Update 1.8 includes numerous fixes that prepare Skyrim for the impending release of DLC, and is available now on PSN. All you need to do is put your Skyrim disc in your PlayStation 3 and download the update.
Dragonborn is slated to hit the PlayStation Store at 50% discount tomorrow, in efforts to entice PlayStation owners to purchase the DLC in its first week. While Dragonborn is actually the third piece of content to arrive for Skyrim, PlayStation owners will be getting this expansion first, followed by Dawnguard and Hearthfire in the coming weeks.
The wait for Skyrim DLC is finally over for PS3 users, and hopefully we won’t see any problems arise from the content once it lands on the platform. The long wait was solely attributable to development problems that Bethesda encountered while making new content for the PlayStation 3, and given the issues the game launched with we’ll have to wait and see if the lengthy development process squashed any and all bugs prior to release.
Look for the Skyrim Dragonborn DLC later this week.
