Watch Dogs is recreating Chicago brick by brick

Watch Dogs, the open world title that is due out later this year just released another new screenshot from the game. This time, there’s no explosions, no hacking, just Chicago. This shot of the Chicago River is startlingly accurate, depicting the Dearborn Avenue bridge that connects Chicago’s Loop to the Gold Coast.

Look close enough and the buildings are surprisingly accurate as well. The Marina Towers are one of the most recognizable buildings on this stretch of the river, but if you look further down, you can also see what appears to be Chicago’s Merchandise Mart and the Wells St. Bridge.

This image is pretty close to what this part of Chicago actually looks like. If this is any indication as to how detailed the full city will be, the setting of Watch Dogs is going to be one of the most impressive locales we’ve seen in an open world game before.
