Ubisoft has recently released a fresh batch of Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag screenshots and concept art for your consumption. And from the looks of them, this high seas adventure will have you fending for your life against giant sharks.

Alongside the nice new screenshots from Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag, we’ve also got a selection of images that detail the many different types of ships in the game, as well as a number of manuevers that can used when captaining them.  Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag is the latest adventure in the series, which transports players back to 1715 where pirates rule the seas.  Players command Edward Kenway as he looks to gain the respect of the legendary Blackbeard.  The popular mechanics from Assassin’s Creed 3 where players take control of a massive ship in open sea battles is the obviously one of the big premises that this new Assassin’s Creed game is built around.

Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag is slated to arrive in October for current and next-generation consoles and PC.
