The Ultimate Team game mode has become pretty common across various EA Sports titles in recent years, including the FIFA franchise. Within this mode, you collect cards from collectible booster packs, which allow you to put together teams based on the players you obtain through said cards. Last year’s game made an improvement on this game mode with Ultimate Team Legends, but the only problem was that it was Xbox exclusive content on both Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
Sadly, it appears that is going to be the same this year according to the unfinished box art of the upcoming FIFA 15 that was just released. When EA Sports was asked by CVG, they responded by saying “We’re not talking about FUT 15 just yet but yes, Legends will continue to be only on Xbox platforms.”
Also of note, the FIFA series has finally dropped the PlayStation 2 after 13 years of being on the system. With pretty much nothing else coming to the old console, EA Sports kept bringing it back due to the popularity of the game and console still in some areas. However, this is the end as it will not be coming to the system, or the Wii U either for that matter to no one’s surprise.
FIFA 15 will be releasing on September 23 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii, PC, Nintendo 3DS, and PS Vita.
