Ninja Theory have commented they are soon ready to reveal what their next game will be. Will we ever see a Heavenly Sword 2?
A fan asked on Twitter if Ninja Theory is to reveal more information on what their next game is going to be about. Ninja Theory said: “I can’t say exactly when, but you’ll see something in the next few months.”
We do know a Heavenly Sword movie is on its way very soon. The movie is a direct-to-DVD/Blu-ray release that will be available from September 2nd.
The original Heavenly Sword game was released exclusively for the PS3 way back in 2007. The game received favorable reviews and even sold over 1 million copies. Despite this, a sequel was never made and this movie comes out seven years after the game’s release.
It’s possible if the Heavenly Sword movie is successful, we might see a sequel come out by Ninja Theory. The game looked amazing on PS3, but a PS4 sequel would look even better. The last game Ninja Theory worked on was DmC: Devil May Cry. The game was released in early 2013, so Ninja Theory is sure to be working on something new already.
