Metro: 2033 is based upon the Dmitry Glukhovsky novel of the same name. It is a survival horror first-person shooter. Players control Artyom as he ventures across the underground of a post-apocalyptic Russia where nefarious creatures roam the surface and not so friendly people are also in the underground. The game was successful enough to warrant a sequel in the praised Metro: Last Light.
