There is no doubt that Uncharted 4 is one of the most anticipated games of the next couple years, but that might not be the only Uncharted related product we will get in the near future. In the realm of movies, ones based off of video game properties have mostly ranged from mediocre to bad, but there are a few coming in the next few years which hope to trump that trend, one of which happens to be Uncharted. We learned yesterday that it was going to be written by Hurt Locker writer Mark Boal and now it has been revealed that a major star in Hollywood right now reportedly turned down the role of Nathan Drake after being offered.

Coming off the hit of the year, Guardians of the Galaxy, Chris Pratt is a hot commodity. With Jurassic World already coming next summer and the future Marvel movies he will be involved with, there is no doubt he will be staying busy. Sadly, it appears he was offered the role of Nathan Drake in the Uncharted movie, but ended up turning it down according to a report by Hollywood Reporter.

This news is incredibly disappointing, as Pratt could have been a perfect fit in the role with the acting chops to mix drama and comedy well, just like the Uncharted series managed to do so well. If he was actually offered the role as reported, this likely means the role will be filled sooner rather than later. Could we see an announcement at the PlayStation Experience or Video Game Awards?

Who would you like to take the role if you had a choice? Many have always wanted Nathan Fillion, but with the longevity they probably hope to have with the movie series, he is likely too old at this point of his career.
