The Japanese voice actor for Big Boss has urged fans not to cancel their pre-orders for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.

Akio Otsuka voices Big Boss in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain and tweeted the following:

“The TPP team is the same, so please don’t cancel preorders or encourage others not to buy it.”

Konami has been removing Hideo Kojima’s name to promotional material for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. Some fans are disliking this and have cancelled their pre-orders for the game because of this.

It’s worth mentioning Hideo Kojima is still determined to finish Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. He and his team are still involved in the project, so there’s no point on boycotting the game just yet.

Konami just mentioned it’s “restructuring” and building towards a future without Hideo Kojima. The company already confirmed there will be more Metal Gear games after the release of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.

Some other fans didn’t like Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain because Kiefer Sutherland had replaced David Hayter as the English voice for Big Boss. Troy Baker (voice of Ocelot) also had to urge fans not to hate on the game until it comes out.
