Microsoft has released a new Xbox One update, but don’t get too excited just yet at all the possible features they could be introducing. Instead Xbox One update 10.0.10586.1016 simply offers some small bug fixes throughout the system. The full patch notes don’t go into what those minor bugs and improvements might be, so you’ll have to boot it up and see if it fixed whatever problem might be ailing your Xbox One experience.
The full feature list of this Xbox One update are: “Minor bug fixes and improvements, Fix for consumers who use Discovery and Launch (DIAL) protocol, and Improvements to global speech recognition”. Expect the system to run just a bit better, with less stability problems if you’ve encountered them before.
Depending on your settings, your Xbox One could perform this update without any input from you. You can always check to see what version of the Xbox One OS you are on by going to “Settings, Select All Settings, Select System, Select Console info & updates, Your OS version is located in the third row down on the right.”
Microsoft usually reserves larger feature changes for their major monthly update, so expect more things to come some time in December.
