Gears of War: Ultimate Edition has been expected to come to the PC since Microsoft first announced the remake for the Xbox One. It appears to be closer to release as a Windows 10 Store listing briefly appeared Tuesday and revealed what kind of PC will be needed to hit 1080p and the current holy grail of graphics, 4K resolution.
The Windows 10 PC version of Gears of War: Ultimate Edition will be identical content wise to the Xbox One release, as captured by Windows Central. This includes the five additional missions, that were part of the original PC release, plus all of the multiplayer DLC maps, to bring the total to 19.
The PC specific features for Gears of War include the aforementioned 4K support plus an unlocked framerate. Keyboard and mouse support is naturally included along with gamepad controls. The Windows 10 version will also bundle in the Deluxe Weapon Skin Pack and 11 bonus multiplayer characters.
Interestingly, the PC requirements for Gears of War: Ultimate Edition are rather steep. A DirectX 12 video card is required and a minimum of 16GB of RAM along with a top-gear Intel or AMD process is needed for 1080p. Meanwhile, the 4K requirements are definitely for the 1 percenters.
