Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness will be releasing on both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 later this year, and now Square Enix has released a new video that compares the visuals of both versions.
Unsurprisingly, there are some big improvements that can be seen in PlayStation 4 version compared to the PlayStation 3 version, with higher-detailed textures, better draw distance, and greater clarity and vibrancy. It still looks good on PlayStation 3, but the PlayStation 4 version looks better enough to change platforms if you were banking on the PlayStation 3 version.
The PlayStation 3 version of Star Ocean 5 was recently delayed in Japan, with the release date now being April 28th. Square Enix claims that they need extra time to optimize the game on PlayStation 3, which could be why we’re seeing such a significant gap in quality in the graphics comparison video.
The PlayStation 4 version of the game is still set to launch in Japan on March 31st, though we still don’t have info on release dates for other regions. Check out the graphics comparison video below.
