There’ll Be No Twilight Princess HD DLC Because of The Legend of Zelda Wii U

If you thought there will be some type of DLC for Twilight Princess HD, you’ll be disappointed to know that there won’t be any. This is mainly because Nintendo is focusing all efforts on The Legend of Zelda Wii U.

Stack Australia has a chance to speak to Eiji Aonuma about Twilight Princess. They asked him if we might see any additional content for the game post launch.

Aonuma said: “There is no plan for add-on content with this title because we are focusing on developing the new Zelda title for Wii U, so please look forward to it.”

This makes sense since most remakes/remasters don’t add any new DLC as they are based on older video games. The only DLC they have are ones that have been made already.

The Legend of Zelda Wii U is still expected to be out later this year. Nintendo delayed the game from its original late 2015 release window. There are many rumors that the game could also be a Nintendo NX launch title as well.

In either case, many people are looking forward to Link’s new adventure. It’s been a long time since Skyward Sword came out back in 2011 which was the last mainstream entry of the series.
