It’s no secret that when a new Bethesda game launches it is usually riddled with bugs, though the company has done a lot since launch to smooth things out with Fallout 4. However, some fans are just too impatient to wait for them to do it and have taken matters into their own hands. An unofficial patch for the game is currently in the works that will fix darn near everything technically wrong with the game.
The “goal of the Unofficial Fallout 4 Patch (aka UFO4P) is to eventually fix every bug with Fallout 4 not officially resolved by the developers to the limits of the Creation Kit and community-developed tools, in one easy-to-install package.” Considering that this patch is being cooked up by the same people responsible for the Skyrim and Oblivion mods, it’s safe to say that the game is in good hands.
To briefly touch on some of the things the patch will fix, it is said that it will tweak “hundreds of gameplay, quest, NPC, object, item, text and placement bugs.” It will also be compatible with all other Fallout 4 mods, though it will require you to have downloaded the official 1.5.146 patch.
