The reveal of the existence of Final Fantasy VII Remake completely blew out minds when it was announced at E3 last year during Sony’s conference, but it was a no show this year at E3. This wasn’t a huge surprise with the way Square Enix handles their E3 presence, with Kingdom Hearts 3 also being left out, but it sounds like the next news reveal could be big.
In an interview with Famitsu that was translated by KH Insider, Tetsuya Nomura spoke about his upcoming projects, including Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 and Kingdom Hearts 3 a bit. He did not really discuss Final Fantasy VII Remake to our disappointment, but did tease how they will handle upcoming information.
Nomura said that while he had no real new information to reveal on Final Fantasy VII Remake at that time, he did say that the game is coming along well.
The more interesting piece of information he drops is that even though he has no idea when they will never reveal details about Final Fantasy VII Remake, he wants to make it a big blowout of information rather than just trickling out little details here and there.
You’d have to think that this would come sometime after Final Fantasy XV’s release so as not to take away from that, but there’s really no way to guess for sure.
